About Me

My name is Samantha Jane Rawlings and I am 26 years old. I have recently graduated from University of Gloucestershire with a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Games Design and hope to pursue a career in the Gaming/Graphic Design industry.

As a child I often enjoyed drawing and playing video games, though drawing was one of my more prevalent hobbies. My favourite subjects to draw from were cartoon characters as well as everyday objects. As time went on I found myself drawing more complicated characters and decided that I wanted to pursue drawing as a hobby as well as a possible career path when I was old enough.

By the time I was a teenager, I decided to take on a Video Game Design course at Gloucestershire College and completed two years with an Outstanding Achievement. It was also during this time that I gradually built up from my basic sketches to producing more detailed concept artwork pieces. I mostly produced these when I was at home, during college and at university for assignments.

Now at the age of 26, I have been improving upon my drawings as well as gaining useful tips and information about how to improve my artwork further. Now that I have graduated, I have been continuing to draw as a hobbyist and I am still developing on producing graphics to a more professional standard as well as producing a higher level of detail and complexity within them in order to gain a position within the Design industry.
